Museu da Umbanda engages in ongoing research projects that require continuous, dedicated labor.

The museum collection grows continuously, and each new artifact needs to be documented and cataloged. Beyond maintaining the collection and the space, the museum engages in ongoing research activities - such as organizing publications, programming exhibitions and screenings, organizing seasonal events, documenting activities, fundraising, and much more. There is always something to do.

The museum creates opportunities for student workers at Oberlin College to participate in its activities, and acquire hands-on experience in indie museology.

Students of any major are welcome to apply for such opportunities. Contact me if you are interested in working with the Umbanda Museum.Â
